The project was to express a person through portraiture.
I think it captures myself to an extent.

Light Color Texture - Creating Art





The assignment was to make three one minute segments focusing on light, color, and texture (one for each video). The premise for the assignment was to have each student focus on these aspects when taking footage.

With this piece I wanted to take the process of creating art as inspiration and just make one video showing all three themes in the piece.

I have other students working on creating art themselves.

You can see sometimes the camera is not always steady and is in the process of adjusting as well, this was to also include video as a way of creating art.

Illustrating Space:
Personal Space




The theme was to illustrate a space somehow.

I thought of the space between two people: personal space.

I thought of how different it is for every person and the relationships of two people.

In my video, who the people weren't as important because I wanted them to be anyone to be able to relate to them, so I have them virtually faceless the whole time.

It follows one person meeting the next and the next person meeting the next through various situations and in the end circles back to the first person, although that isn't as easy to tell.

The music is "There is No There" by The Books.
